Research in the Pilsner Lab lies at the intersection of environmental toxicology, epidemiology, and reproductive health. Our research has a particular emphasis on epigenetic mechanisms, which are additional layers of information intertwined with the genome that control the expression of genes. Specifically, our research focuses on taking a paternal perspective to reproductive health by seeking to understand the role of sperm epigenetics as a biological pathway linking paternal environmental exposures to reproductive and offspring health.
